Hung Q. Tu was born in Vietnam but grew up in San Diego, California. His first book of poetry, A Great Ravine, was published by Parenthesis Writing Series. He received his BA in Literature at the University of California, San Diego and has an MFA degree in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. He is a founding editor of the literary publisher, Krupskaya.
